Each day two North Carolina families have a child diagnosed with a form of autism. That's nearly 800 families added each year to the 50,000 families in our state already living with autism.

Individuals on the autism spectrum and their families need help and support to be able to be as successful and independent as possible.

Proceeds from the WNC Run/Walk for Autism are used to support the programs and services of the Autism Society of North Carolina, including many here in Western North Carolina, such as two residential programs, a small business that provides an opportunity for employment to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, summer camp, and the Sara Handlan Family Crisis Fund which was established to provide financial assistance to families living with autism and in crisis.

The WNC Run/Walk for Autism has raised over $70,000 over the past 3 years to provide supports and promote opportunities for the autism community in Western North Carolina.

Our Platinum Sponsor, Diamond Brand Outdoors, is offering registration at its Arden store. As an incentive, the first 300 people who register for the event at the Arden store will receive a $10 gift card.
